AT&S Industry Engagement

Austria-headquartered AT&S , which manufactures high-end printed circuit boards substrates for semiconductors will set up a production plant, its first in Southeast Asia. AT&S’s new facility in Kulim Hi-Tech Park, Kedah will produce high-end PCBs and IC substrates and it will involves a proposed total investments of RM8.5bil and will create 5,000 high-tech and high-impact jobs.

AT&S – KISMEC collaboration starts when AT&S first visit KISMEC on 22nd Nov 2020 and the first online meeting was conducted with the Center of Excellence on 15th July 2021. Since then, trainings have been organized by KISMEC to AT&S employees where 23 modules are set in place. The training is in the preparation for their engineers, operation team and managers that will then be trained in Chongqing, China for 3-6 months.
