Course Overview

In Malaysia, solar power is expected to contribute to a minimum of 220 Megawatt in 2020 from 65 MW in 2015 under the National Renewable Energy Policy target. In fact, Economic Transformation Program (ETP) Entry Point Project 10 (EPP10) has laid down plan to build solar power capacity under Oil and Gas Sector to enhance energy independence, fulfill green agenda, increase energy security, increase employment and act as a catalyst for local solar manufacturing and Foreign Direct Investment (FDI). Labor and skills required to install solar system are expected to increase rapidly as government is encouraging solar energy installed at home and office with the introduced Feed-In Tariffs (FIT) to generate passive income.
